Resources for Freelancers

As a freelancer, these are the tools that I find helpful in my business.  Just click the images to learn more and purchase! For most of these tools, I've used affiliate links. That means that I earn a small commission or in-kind compensation when you use my link.

I've used Dreamhost for ten years because they have amazing customer service!

Creative Market is my go-to for high quality licensed images. They also give away 6 design assets for free every week!

As a freelancer, I really struggled with figuring out how much money  to save for taxes, then actually putting the money away. Catch makes it so easy to not only put aside money for taxes, but for vacations, sick days, and other benefits that would normally come out of a paycheck!

I write a lot of copy for email sequences, blogs, and newsletter. For public-facing content, editing and proofing is a must. I sprung for the lifetime license because it was a great deal. Use my Family and Friends link to get 10% off a premium license.

I use WaveApps for my invoicing and accounting.  I run my business pretty simply and didn't need something as robust as Quickbooks, so WaveApps is a great solution for me. They have great customer service, too.

Am I even a freelancer if I don't recommend Trello? Trello is not for everyone, but I love the simplicity of it, and the ability to customize it using the Power Ups. It's great for both personal and business use!
